Throughout the trek to the West, settlers encounter many learning opportunities through drama, stories, songs, and skits. This is an action-packed time is full of special-effects, multimedia, games, and hands-on experience. The primary goal is teaching kids the importance of: godly friendships, how to be a godly friend, and how to know the best friend-Jesus Christ.
With the help of trail guides (church volunteers) the team guides the settlers (children) along the “trail.”
CAST includes: Brave Sidekick, Chief Wisewalker, and Settler Sam. Each of them help portray the daily struggles on the trail. Along with these Trapper Wilder and Dinah Mite help settlers learn how to live on the light side while in the saddle. The puns, gags, juggling, and comedy are hard to beat!
Special feature - Joy Mingled with Tears – is a true story brought to life through careful historical research from the writings of Catherine Sager. Encouraging settlers to remember that through the difficulties in life you can have joy if you know Jesus. Proverbs 17:17- “A friend loveth at all times.”
